The address search box is located under the "Tools" tab at the right of the screen. Enter an address, city, or landmark and click Search. A list of map results will appear. Click the "View Overlay" button next to a result to view that map overlayed on top of the modern map.

Areas highlighted in red represent georeferenced U.S. coverage, while areas highlighted in blue represent international georeferenced coverage. When you click anywhere within these areas, a list of map results will appear. Click the "View Overlay" button next to a result to view that map overlayed on top of the modern map.

Type a single surname into the name search to find people on maps. More...
The name search box is located under the "Tools" tab at the right of the screen. Enter a single surname, select a state, county and year, then click Find. Icons showing the location of people with that name will appear on the map. Click on an icon to search for maps of that location.
